Mera Spa Hotel

A beachside spa retreat in Sopot on Poland’s Baltic coast, just 50 metres from the sand, and a brief to help create the perfect stay.

The Brief

Today operating as the Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa, the hotel blends Scandinavian design with the regional architecture of Pomorskie, wrapped around extensive spa facilities, pools and saunas. The vision for its interiors was warm, natural and zen: calm, uncluttered spaces where natural materials do the talking and every guest feels instantly at ease. Flooring sets the tone in a project like this. It flows from the fireside lounge to the bedrooms, and it has to feel as serene as it looks while standing up to the constant traffic of a busy resort. The timeline was tight, with a fast turnaround required to meet the hotel’s schedule.

What We Did

Working to a custom specification, we supplied engineered oak flooring in warm, natural tones chosen to anchor the scheme: comfortable underfoot, dimensionally stable in a spa environment, and finished to carry the calm, tactile character the designers wanted throughout the guest areas.

The Result

A retreat that feels exactly as intended, with warm oak underfoot from the moment guests arrive, tying lounges, corridors and bedrooms into one calm, natural whole. Delivered on a demanding schedule, without compromising the finish.
